Road Trip

Last weekend most of my friends and family went out of town. The Brewer's went motorcycling in San Rafael and Wes was not able to go so I didn't feel like going either, but I wanted to get away ... so I found out that Emily and Mike were going to be at home for the weekend so I decided to take the kids on a "road trip" to Cedar City! Our little journey started Saturday at 5:20AM. It took us a little over 3 hours to get there and the kids slept most of the time. After we arrived, got settled and changed, we headed to Zions National Park .. my favorite national park!! The weather was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. It was a lot of fun! Here are the pictures (be ready, there's a lot of them :)

The kids loved riding the bus .. seat belt free! :)

I'm so glad Emily had her camera ... she was able to take pictures of me and the kids. It was great because I don't have a lot of pictures with them, since I am always taking the pictures :)

These are pictures of our hike. We hiked up to the Emerald Pools. The kids were such little troopers .. Spencer walked all the way up and down. They enjoyed throwing rocks, playing with the water and looking at the animals. At the end of our hike back, Bella was so tired and Emily and I had to carry her. Thanks Emily for helping .. you are awesome! :)

These are some pictures of us relaxing and playing under that huge beautiful tree by the restaurant. We had such a good time ...

Next morning we drove to Bryce Canyon. This time Mike joined us, and Spencer definitely loved having him there ... Mike is so fun :) We ate lunch while looking at a beautiful view and the kids rode their scooters for a while.

This was our Bryce Canyon's hike. It had snow on the trail and it made it very slippery - especially when you don't wear the right shoes like I did :)

Then we headed home and relaxed for a while and at dusk we had a fire and made smores.

And that was our little "road trip" :) Thanks again Mike and Emily for the hospitality and fun we had together! We love you!
