Summer

I love Summer! It's bright, warm and fun.
This Summer it's been more fun for a few reasons:

- Spencer and Bella are old enough to walk, bike, swim, etc... they can keep up with me and Wes (mainly me). It makes it fun that I don't need to worry about them not being able to do theses little adventures we do. Also, I get to talk with them, ask questions and express feeling about different things. Lil Mason just go with the flow on my back :)

- Break from schedule! I am really good at having schedule with my kids. Time to get up, to go to school, homework, bed time, etc...I decided to chill out and just be. They still have responsibilities and time for things, but, overall, we take a day at a time and it's been great for them, so they feel more freedom, and great for me - less stress. Sooner the whole scheduled life will start over again :)

- Being outside! I love being outdoors. I try to do as much activity as I can around nature and water. I want my kids to grow up being outdoor, exploring places, getting dirty! I hope my kids will always appreciate the beauty that it's around them. Utah is such a beautiful state with so much to see. I love it here!

This week was the week I stayed at home the most since school was out. The good thing is that I got to cook healthy delicious dinner. Plus the kids got to be creative playing at home. So my living room looked like this half of the week. They love building forts. They actually slept there a couple of days. We also got to draw pictures together and I really enjoyed that. The small and simple things...

Wes and I got to go to the temple. Always a great experience! I am really trying to keep my goal of attending the temple once a month this year.

The kids dressed up like cows to eat for free at Chick-a-file. I love my last minute costume idea! (Plus we had free slurpees at 7-11 too this week)

We go to Seven Peaks every week. Since most of the people in the valley owns the Pass of all Passes, we go right at 9:30 and leave by noon. That way it's not as crazy. This week we went on Monday and it was pretty empty (I guess compared to other days) for the first hour. Maybe because of the 4th holiday, not sure. So they got to play at the kids pool for a little bit with not a lot of kids.

My sweet Mason felt asleep in my arms this week and I treasured that moment so much! He's growing so fast ... soon he'll be going to his bed when he's tired instead of me.
So, yes, I welcome holding him anytime :)

Saturday we decided to go on a bike ride. Wes called it this time and we went all the way up to the U and rode down our bikes. The plan was to go all the way to City Creek but Spencer's bike chain decided to come off often so we had to stop before getting to City Creek. Wes rode the trax back to the car and picked us up (great plan btw). It was fun riding around the buildings and seeing the cool spots at the U that I never new of. Next time I want to explore some new trails in South Jordan/Riverton area and Park City.

  2. That's so fun that they could all ride their own bikes!! I can't wait for my kiddos to be able to do that and not have to always pull a trailer full of kids! :)
