Proud

I am so proud of my kids! We try to help them spiritually but sometimes it's hard to tell if they are getting something out of it. I am glad our routine is back and scripture study is again part of our nightly routine. We are learning about D&C with videos from lds.com and we are reading the scriptures through an app I bought. Spencer always open his scriptures no matter what, and I like that. We also say prayers together daily among other little things here and there.

Mason has learned how to pray. Matter fact, he always wants to say the prayer :) It's a simple and sweet prayer with lots to thank for.

Isabella surprises me often. In fact, during the Saturday session of the conference today I told the kids we were going to have the candy game only on Sunday. They still sat to watch the beginning of the session. Suddenly Isabella gets a piece of the paper and writes "faith", "Jesus", "pray", etc ... and she sat there by me, paying attention and tally marking the words as she listened to the speakers. Wow! It might not be a lot for some, but to me it was amazing to watch my 6 year old watching conference because she wanted to, not because there's candy. I am OK having the candy game. It's fun for them and for us! :) However it was nice seeing that she has the desire to watch it, regardless.

Spencer asked me last fast Sunday if he could go up and bear his testimony. I said it would be just fine. He got up alone, confident and with a firm voice, that he wanted to bear his testimony about his baptism. That he felt the Holy Ghost and that he knows he'll see Jesus again. He got up there and talked like a little man! I was emotional watching him and sooo proud!

I pray they'll always have a strong testimony of the Gospel. I hope to be a good example to them and to help them make good decisions. Decisions that will help them in the future, to find true happiness in this life.

I love my children and being their mom is the biggest gift I could've asked for.
