Over Presidents Day weekend we went on a road trip to Arizona! Doug and Linda came along with us.
We first stopped at Bryce Canyon. Such a beautiful place!
We ate and slept in Kanab.
The next day we visited this little Old West restaurant and then we headed to Arizona.
Then we drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon! It was Doug and Linda's first time at the South Rim and they loved it. I can tell the kids enjoyed it too! So beautiful!
Cricket Anyone??
Then we drove to Flagstaff and spent the night there. The next day we drove to see the Meteor Crater. Wes was soooo excited to see it! It was pretty cool!
That night we went out for dinner. So Spencer had been asking me to buy dinner for all of us and I kept telling him that he didn't need to so he could save his money. Well, when we were in this restaurant, he asked again and I said no. Suddenly he started to cry! At that point I realized I was taking away from him an opportunity to give and serve others. So he paid for his meal and for his siblings meal. He ordered and paid cash to the server. He was so happy and I was so happy to see how generous and thoughtful of a kid he is!
Next day Wes and the kids spent most of the day in a aquatic place. There was a water slide that went outside and it was completely dark! They had a blast! After that we started to make our way back to SL.
After sleeping in Kanab again, we drove through Zion National Park. I love Zions! We stopped for a hike with an amazing overlook of the park! The kids did so well!! Mason walked the whole time and the weather was perfect!
Last stop was at Jacen's for Cafe Rio! And the kids got to ride the horse.
I love quick getaways like this. I can't wait for the next one!
