We went down on the river by Z's house the other day, then we played in the water. The kids had a blast!
We went on a fun little parade where the kids were the "atraction" at Draper Elementary. They got to decorate their bikes, have their face painted, got ballons, popsicles and it ended with a magic show. It was pretty cool! Andrezza and Juliana were there too.
The Saturday after the parade I went yard saling with Carolyn and found a "big boy" bike for Spencer for $5!! Deal!! I noticed how small his old bike was getting once I saw his friends bikes at the parade ... the only thing I need to work on now is to have him and Bella wear a helmet! It's my fault ... I always forget!! Wes put the training wheels on the bike and Spencer was so excited to help him. Then they went for a ride ... they are such good friends :)
Let's say last Saturday was an AWESOME day! We had our own little "pool party". My neighbor came over to say hi and we all ended up getting wet due to the "water war" :) Too bad I don't have pictures ... David and Kate joined us too. Afterwards I gave them a bath .. yeah, all together :) Same day earlier, we attempted to walk down the river but it was too high for Spencer still but we rode bikes, motorcycles ... just enjoyed our day :)
Monday night the kids were playing with water, dirt, excavator ... yes, Spencer helped Wes to finish some excavating work while Bella had a blast with the water and the dirt :)

Today Amy invited us to go to the outdoor pool at the gym she goes to (btw, I loved that gym :) Spencer and Ethan had a blast jumping in the water and Bella was so cute trying to swim like Spencer with her big arms ... so adorable! Too bad Amy is moving soon ...
what a blast! what a healthy family you have. i can't believe how good wes is looking! he said he ran 10 miles the other day. wow.

SOOOOO fun!! you guys get out and do so much fun stuff!! I want to come play in the river by Z's house sometime with you guys- that looks like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at getting fun summer things going, Juliana! If you want some more fun, you can come advise us on our kitchen decor...we finally realized it's been 9 months and we shouldn't have any more excuses for not decorating....
